2. Now help me understand what is unique about you and your business (in other words what your brand means)  and how you like to do business

The reasoning here is that to do my best work I need to try and see the business with your eyes and how you wish your clients to see you. Your website is your shop window to the world 24 x 7 so it has a huge impact and is very important. When people go online to search, they can land on virtually any page in your website, not just your home page.

Here are some of the questions I may be asking. Please understand that this is just to help me understand your business as quickly as possible so that I can help and not spend time on things that you have already thought about and decided.

Any information you provide will be strictly confidential and I am happy to sign a confidentiality agreement to further protect you and your business.

  1. What are your goals for the business in 1 yr 3 yrs 5 yrs? (personal ie working hours and flexibility / income levels / stress levels, financial, business success, growth etc) ie franchise model?? geographical growth, new markets
  2. What are the characteristics of your current and prospective clients  ? (what do you know and what would you like to know ?) in particular why do they use or want to use your services ?
  3. Do they fall into any particular groups, segments or clusters ?
  4. What different ways do you get and do you want to get new clients from ?
  5. Who are your competitors ? what do they offer and what do they charge ?
  6. Who are your natural alliances or partners out there ?
  7. What are the brand values you wish to communicate and adhere to ?
  8. What sales and marketing things have worked for you and which have not worked?
  9. What are your pricing strategies ?
  10. Do you have any ideas for new areas of business  ?
